Discovering Spiritual Wellness

Very few people are concerned with their spiritual health which has a huge impact on the overall mental and physical health. Spirituality is different for each individual. It can be compared to traditional religions such as Christianity, Hinduism, or Buddhism. It can also be seen in the level of growth a person experiences in personal relationships, or simply by being at peace with nature.

Those who do not care for their spiritual needs often experience deep sorrow, depression, intense anger, fear, anxiety, and sadness. These negative emotions can create a state of emotional, physical, and mental dysfunction. People who are physically and emotionally traumatized often carry a broken heart and a contrite heart, as if they were constantly plagued by hardships and pain. They do not realize that their sad hearts are a force for good or for bad. Rejecting the deep depression will only make matters worse and may even lead to serious heart disease and illness.

Recent research has shown an association between stress and anxiety, and the development of heart disease. They are considered to be a risk factor for high cholesterol and diabetes. According to a study, depressed patients are twice as likely to die from complications as heart disease, compared with people who do not have depression. Some experts even suggest that depression and anxiety should be included as new risk factors for developing heart disease.

Individual and unfriendly people are more likely to be ill, with a higher risk of heart disease and a shorter lifespan, than those who are blessed with a wide circle of friends and other relationships that provide emotional and moral support. There seems to be a direct link between illness and a lack of love as documented by a study conducted by Dean Ornish, M.D., a respected cardiologist at the University of California at San Francisco.

A few years ago, scientists discovered that inflammation of the coronary arteries plays a role in the regulation of cholesterol. Two of the most effective heart medications, beta-blockers and ACE inhibitors, work at the level of hormones, reducing the effect of adrenaline released when we are angry, anxious, or depressed. These drugs have always been miraculous, reducing the mortality rate by 30 percent.

However, there are many patients who do not respond well to drugs due to emotional and physical illness. This is where alternative therapies, such as meditation, prayer, or psychotherapy, come into play.

One such type of meditation therapy is called Sufism, or Practicing Remembrance - an ancient spiritual practice that originated in Islam, and is best known in the West for Roman poetry. Sufism focuses on its many practical and effective methods of healing the heart in a simple but miraculous way to unlock the healing rays of love.

Practice Remembering is a long-respected form of therapy that uses a combination of breathing and sounds to open the heart to intense love. What you will remember if you use this method is the concept of love. In many spiritual groups, the concept of love with God is interchangeable. For the Sufis, the practice of remembering the duplication of God's name in sequence or cycle. Each time God's name is repeated, love flows from the heart. This is an ongoing process of repetition that has the power to cleanse your heart of all improper vibrations and stress. But it is important to visualize love or the spirit that enters the heart when the sound is repeated.

Spiritual health is about finding a sense of purpose in your life, and living for the purpose and purpose of your existence
